The shaking of confetti on a married couiple is still a custom. A feast is held in the bridegroom's house.
About twenty horses would be be at a wedding & when they would be coming home to the house of the bride they would gallop the horses from the church the see what party would arrive first. The party that would be there first would get a bottle of whiskey. The bride would ride on horseback with her husband.- Collector
