- No one knew her name. She stayed at Johnny Sheehan's house at Killowen, and when the son of the house was leaving to go to the farm at Greenane she told him the number of cows that were there - the that he'd find lying and the number standing and grazing. She also told him the number of eggs he'd find under such a coloured hen. I came to the field to see my cattle and he told me the story. He was after finding everything as the woman foretold. I told him not to come near the woman again. Some time later she called again at Rineys at Greenane and told them several stories about themselves and their neighbours and particularly about the neighbour that used not keep the water inside at night and that if she didn't she'd suffer. (The family referred to was Mrs Mahoney who lived at the Quay House and was untidy). She confided a part of the call to see Mrs Riney and gave her several hints regarding her butter. She used not have her full quantity of butter but afterwards she had the full amount.
