    Local Cures
    There are a great many local cures in this valley of Arigna for ills and complaints. Here is a list of ills that are cured locally.
    1. Head Fever 2. Heart Fever 3. Mote in the eye 4 Swelled throat 5. Hoarseness 6. Sprain 7. Bleeding 8. Erysiplelas 9 Dropsey 10 Ringworm 11 Epilepsy 12 Toothache
    Many of the cures for the above are without herbs or medicine. They consist of words or actions and prayers only known to those who have the care. Those cures are in certain families and handed won from parent to child of opposite sex. As from father to daughter or from mother to son. Numbers one, tow, three, four, five, six and seven are cured as above. Number eight is cured by water lifted between sunrise and sunset in a little lake known as the Locan three miles N.E. from the village of
