    Many of the fields, hills, hollows and all the townlands of Arigna District have Irish names. Such as Páirc na Scath. This is a field with a lone bush in the centre. Poll a dTuaidh, Poll a Phuaca, Páirc Fada, Moinín a Taobh, Derriniskey, Knockadryan, Seltinaveeney, Dún.
