Once two men went over to England in search of work. They got no work the first day and the night fell on them, they had no place to sleep. They came to a hotel and asked the manager for a room for the night. The manager said that all the rooms were taken except one where nobody slept because there were supposed to be bugs in the beds. The men said they didn't care, and that they would bring their sticks to bed with them. Now in the same room there slept an Italian musician who had a monkey as a companion and he slept along with his master in the foot of the bed. Now the two men were asleep when the fellow came in with his monkey he went to bed quietly without making any noise. At the break of day one of the men woke up, he looked about and saw the monkey thinking it was a bug he struck a mighty blow on the monkey with his big stick and killed him. Then he cried to his companion that he had killed a bug. the two went to examine the bug but instead they found that it was a monkey.- Collector
