I live in Brownsford, beside the castle, which belongs to my father. Woodstock, a Rath and Carraig Uí Néll are close beside us.This castle was built hundreds of years ago, and it is supposed to have been put up by the Normans; Fitzgerald lived in it first.Woodstock is a very big wood; it is surrounding Woodstock house which was burnt down some years ago.There is a Rath in one of our neighbouring fields. It is surrounded by furze.Carraig Uí Néll is near my dwelling also. It is a little wood rising over the river Nore.There is a grave in one of the neighbouring fields of R. Walshs called the "Giant's Grave." It is about 12 ft. long. There is a pillar-stone at one end, about 7 ft. high and one at the other end about 3 ft. high.Some of our fields have(continues on next page)- Collector
