- Herbs etc as cures (See p. 26 NETTLES)Nettle Water:-is a cure for worms. This was found out by a Dr. Croub, dispensary doctor in Innistioge. This Dr. had an only daughter who "pined away and died", and he could not find out what was wrong. When dead she was opened and a long worm (tape - I expect) was found. Dr Croub kept this worm in a jar, and tried everything he could think of to kill it. Nothing did so until he gave it nettle water. This killed it.
