  1. There was a poet in Ballynooney about one mile from Mullinavat. His name was Patrick Rose. He used to work with the farmers and got a lot of money from visitors for making poems for them.
    One day he was passing down the village of Mullinavat and he saw a sign over a Public House door.
    If you are dry,
    Come in and try.
    The flavour of my honey,
    But he wrote under
    I am dry,
    But I cannot try,
    the flavour of your honey, for if I go in,
    The bees will sting, for I've got no money.
