  1. Some of them are very poor & if they don't sell at the house where they call, they ask for old boots or old clothes. They buy the articles which they offer for sale in the big stores in towns.
    There is not much welcome for them.
    They usually travel by caravan or spring-carts & make down their beds under canvas or old bags on the road-side near a village. They travel in families & come round for any local fairs, races or sports.
