  1. A funny Story
Composed of Local Humour or Wit from several inhabitants of the district.
A chap was working at a farmer's house where one day the farmer killed a young bull. On the day after, the boy got a small portion of the meat, which the farmer's wife had cooked. He also got a large amount of turnip.
When he had the meat eaten, he asked for more. The farmer's wife said "If I gave you any more, the bull would be bawling in your stomach". "Begor ma'am" said the boy, "He would not be bawling in the want of turnips anyhow"
A farmer employed a new workman , who he left to sleep in the barn loft. In the early hours of the morning, the employee went out to call the man to bring in the cows.
"Paddy" he said but, the answer he got was "Go to bed out of that or you won't be able to get up in the morning."
