    There is a legend in Callan that the vestments and gold and silver Altar Vessels are buried in the Abbey Meadow near the King's River, since the time of Cromwell; and also that the Friary Bell is buried in Poll Seaghain, a whirlpool in the King's Rover, between Callan and Goat's Bridge, and that those who listen on Christmas Night will
