    Now just a tune to stir us up,
    Before we go away,
    What's on our feet they won't keep still:
    The music going astray!
    We're dancing now, and singing, too,
    And dance and song goes on,
    With recitation in between
    From smiling Father John.
    We stand together in the floor,
    Good-byes are said in vain
    With Thomas Davis, all must sing
    "A Nation Once Again!"
    A few, bright, happy hours like these, When old friends meet again,
    Make young the heart if not the face
    And wipe out years of pain.
