    In Mr. Denis Sheehy's field beside the school a rath is situated. There is a mound of earth all round it and several ancient looking skeoughs grow on this mound. No one ever interfered with this rath. In fact if a sheep or beast happened to go in to graze, the people would be afraid to go near to turn it out. Years ago it was said that a skeough was knocked down by a heavy storm, and in the evening it was standing as straight as ever again. The skeough was never know to have fallen since.
