  1. Long ago when a child got delicate its parents believed that their own child had been taken away by the fairies, and that a sickly old elf was left in its place.
    A woman had two children who seemed to be pining away. One night she wakened to discover that the children were not in bed. At the same time she heard music. She went quietly down to the kitchen where she found one of the children was playing a violin and the other was dancing. She knew at once that these were fairy children, and
