Mrs. Heckinberry was from Coolnelian Co. Carlow was a noted singer. She sang in a concert hall in Borris and won a prize of five shillings. Her favourite songs were "I'll tie up your hair with bonny brown ribbons" "Ireland you yet stand true". She sang "The Boys of Wexford", "The wild Geese", "Kathleen Mavourneen", in Dublin also.
