Candle making was another industry carried on in Graig some year ago. The Dillens were the people that made them. They made the candles from tallow and the wick from hemp.
The Brophys of Tinnehinch made straw hats. They went around the country and they got the straw from the farmers. They platted the straw together. When they had the hats made they dyed them various colours. Then they sold them.
