  1. Stories of Hidden Treasure
    Near where our pump now stands there was a bush, and under this bush it is said there is a large sum of money hidden. It was hidden in the time of the Danes by the near the place.
    There is also a great quantity of money hidden in our castle. When you go in and go up the stairs you will see the secret stair-case over you. No one has ever found the way to open the secret door but it is said that there is passag under the yard where there is a little room and in this room the gold is hidden. It was put there by the Blanchfields about one hundred and fifty years ago.
