- The leprechaun is about two feet high. He is dressed in red & green & his shoes are turned up. This is a story of a local leprechaun. There is a pathway from Ling Vosha through Gleann Na Rocka to the Village of Gowran. Half way between there is a little well hidden by bushes.
Once a countryman was on his way to the village and he heard a sound of tapping like someone soling boots. He went on tiptoe thinking it was someone he knew intending to frighten him but to his great surprise it was a leprechaun. He got near enough to catch him by the neck.
