    One day a gentleman was going out to hunt and when mounting his horse he said he would ride again the devil this day.

    astonishment he saw a cloven foot under the table. Then they stopped playing the cards and they gentleman sent for the minister. The devil grinned at the minister. They saw that the minister could not drive him out. There was a catholic boy in the place and he said to the gentleman that if he would allow him to bring his priest he would put him out. Then he agreed and said he would give any thing to put him out. So the boy went for his priest. The priest came and put him out the chimney in a blast of fire. The gentleman offered him a large sum of money but he did not take it.
