    in the factories at present quite so good as this linen was.
    Concerning the unfinished road (or lane) which the men of the district were engaged in making about 1847 I wish to remark that it was probably started about the townland of Follom (?) and ran in the direction of Clones in Monaghan. The work seems to have come to a stand when the men had it made as far a little river called "Drumbroughas River"for its continuation for the remainder of the way to the next public road although ditched off seems never to have been paved or sheeted.
