Concerning the unfinished road (or lane) which the men of the district were engaged in making about 1847 I wish to remark that it was probably started about the townland of Follom (?) and ran in the direction of Clones in Monaghan. The work seems to have come to a stand when the men had it made as far a little river called "Drumbroughas River"for its continuation for the remainder of the way to the next public road although ditched off seems never to have been paved or sheeted.(continues on next page)- Collector
