The fairy man thanked Murty and promised him that he would not regret having assisted him, and sure enough Murty got a much better price for his bonhams than he had been offered in Ennistymon.I need scarcely add that even fifty years ago comparatively few people believed Murty's yarn. I am giving it here because it is quite possible that this is an old tale which Murty "adapted".
