    nearly every tree in the country was blown down. It lasted only for one night. There were a good many people killed with fallen trees and houses. Alot of animals were held under trees and killed. A great lot of sheep were killed too where they had flocked in for shelter under trees. There was very heavy rain that night too and the wind blew the rain in through broken windows and doors. The people were all afraid to go out. The people all stayed up and were afraid to go to bed
