    There is a spot in the middle of the rath and no grass grew on it ever since. The people call it the blood hole of Mullaghmast
    It is said that a man was going to the fair with a cow. Whe he was passing a rath he heard a queer music inside the rath. He let on the cow and he got across the ditch to see what was making the music
