- St. Kyran is the patron saint of this district and he had his church and monastery in a place about one mile south of Errill on Mrs. Bowe's land.
About two hundred yards from the monastery there is St. Kyran's well and about one hundred years ago there was a pilgrimage to it on St. Kyran's Day which was a holiday then.
At the opposite side of the graveyard there is St. Kyran's tree and there was a well in the trunk of it. When ever a funeral is passing to the graveyard the De Profundis is said there.- Collector
