    having a crop of oats ripe, wanted to cut it down and take it with them. Barney Dunphy, taking the Campion's part, began fighting the agent. When the agent had the gun pointed at him, Barney managed to put a sharp crook round the agent's neck, and said "you fire and if I fall, your head will come with me". So the agent in fear, fled for his life.
    No landlord resides in Ireland nowadays, and all people are glad, because they were the cruelest men who ever lived.
