- Every Christian is obliged to say their morning and night prayers and our 'grace' before and after meals, but this is not enough to do for God. We can make our lives a eeaseless prayer, if we say a word to God about what we are going to do, and offer it up to Him.
When I wake in the morning I was always taught to bless myself and say :-
"Good morning, day,
God keep me from going astray
God keep me from sin and shame
That I may rise again on the Lord's day"
On a fine day I was taught to say
"Good morrow, morning, fine day,
Jesus assist me the right way,
my soul from sin, my body from shame,
And here I go in the Lord's name"
