    together. The bride is given away by her father if living. And is not she is given away by her uncle. After leaving the chapel it is usual to throw confetti on them. It was an old custom to throw an old boot after the car of the bridegroom and bride. It is usual for beggars to look for alms. There is always a wedding feast held in the house of the girl all day and at night the "Brighid Óg" comes. They dance and sing all night and play music. These young men dress in different colours.
    There is a wedding procession held, the bridegroom and bride first. Many friends come with them to the bridegroom house. Sometimes they go away on their 'Honeymoon." When they come home there is a dance held. The wedding people come with them. They dance and sing all night, sometimes they go for drives through the country in motor cars.
