    high. It occurred during the night and shipping suffered severe damage and a number of people were lost. I heard from old people that about 40 years ago (I wa) when the ship called the "Palm" was lost off "Howth Bay", Co. Dublin. Also in Feb, 1902 a very severe storm blew, accompanied by lighting thunder and heavy rains in some districts.
