    A cure for boils was bread and water, or milk to be put on the boil very hot for it to soften it and when they broke suger and soap were put on to draw the badness away. A herb called the wart was put on warts and was supposed to cure them. There were certain kinds of herbs that were boiled in new milk and were used for kidney diseases.
