- When I was young I was very fond of dolls. I often made them myself. I got a white piece of cloth six inches long and four inches wide. I sewed it up both sides and across the bottom. Then I got two pieces of cloth to make arms and two other bit a little longer for the legs. Then I sewed them on when I had them full of sawdust. Then I filled the body with sawdust also. I gathered in the top of the body for the neck. Next I got another piece of white cloth and cut it in a round shape.(continues on next page)
