   Knock an Aifrinn is called because in penal days when priests were hunted and churches were closed a priest used to say mass there. The stone which was used as an altar is still there.
   Conlan's field.
   Conlan's field is so called because people whose name was Conlan lived there.
   Dooley's fields.
   Dooley's fields are so called because there was a house in one field and people lived there whose name was Dooley.
   Holland's stone.
   Holland's stone got its name from a man who used always sit there. Tom Holland was his name and he was a bit queer.
   Knocklade.
   In this field the grass is always green even during the winter.
   Carigeen na gCaor.
   This is a stony field on John Brennan's farm.
