"The North wind doth blow and we shall have snow".
The west wind brings rain in our district.
When the cat eats grass it is the sign of a storm.
When the swallows fly low it is the sign of rain.
When the sky is clear and cloud-less it is a sign of fine weather.
When the hills seem to draw nearer it is the sign of rain.
When the dust blows along the road it is a sign of rain.
When smoke from the chimney goes straight up into the air we shall have fine weather they say but when the smoke is blown down-wards we shall have rain.
