  1. There are two forges in this parish.
    The smiths are Mr. J. Ling and Mr. A. Brennan. Their people have been smiths for many years.
    The forges are situated by the roadside.
    The roofs of the forges are made of timber and felt. The doors are not of any special kind.
    There is only one fireplace in each forge.
    The bellows are fastened on to a beam by a chain which goes from one end of the house to the other.
    The bellows were not made locally.
