    Before my crucifix I kneel in prayer,
    For now I may give Him this day,
    With all its joys, its trials and anxious care.
    2) To this sure refuge I may freely go The love that knows the things I do not know,
    Knows my poor heart and will not part
    With my love-gift because He loves me so.
