    There are some customs still preserved regarding that day.
    Some people get's bunches of flowers cowslips, bluebell's and poses, and throw a bunch under each cow, in the stable
    They say that in this way butter can be taken from other cows and given to your own.
    Early on May morning it is a custom for people to go out to the garden and wash their faces in the dew. It is said that who ever does this will not get sun burned during the year.
