    in those times. There were little doors on hinges and they were left open every day. There was a bed in every kitchen in olden times and these beds were called hags. They were made in the side wall of every house and curtains of dark cotton were hanging out-side every bed.
    The floors of most of the thatched houses were made of flags and the floors of the scraw houses were made of mortar. The chimneys on the thatched houses were made of mortar and stone and they were built very low.
