    Walter explained as well as he could an told him he used to feel as though there was something stirring about in his stomach and he always felt as though he would like to vomit.
    The Count asked him if he ever slept out in a swampy place and if he had any intoxicating drink at the time. So Walter remembered Nancy's Wake and told him he fell asleep down near a bog hole the day after the wake and that he had a couple glasses of poteen taken. He was scattering turf and sat down to smoke and never felt until he was fast asleep. I have you now said the Count. It's a frog that crept into your mouth while you were sleeping and it was the smell of the poteen that attracted him. Go said the Count to the cook and tell her about two pounds of that corned beef and throw it on the griddle.
