    bridle and saddle on his horse and when he was ready the big Curate mounted and took the pathway to the old hag's cabin. The horse trotted gaily to the very door before the rider dismounted, and no sooner than he did the old witch confronted him in the door-way. The hag was old and wrinkled beyond description and then wisps of hair of no particular colour hung on either side of her uncanny face, and a pair of dark glistening eyes glinted at the new comer with welcoming glance.
    For an instance the curate was stagered by the unearthly glance of the witch but instantly regaining himself said in a loud voice. "Oh! I have you now." The hag quailed somewhat before the formidable appearance of the curate but recovered herself in time to ask. "And what do you want for me?" "I'm told" said the curate "you are fooling a lot of people with your nonsense, you must quit using
