  1. Many old people believe in certain superstitions which are handed down from the last generation.
    Many people spent no money on new years day because it is said if they payed out money on that day they will pay it out the rest of the year.
    It is often remarked in a rookery that the rooks start to build their nests on the first of March. If the first of March begins on a sunday they don't start until Monday.
    Farmers always like to sow potatoes on Good Friday because it is said to be a lucky day to sow them.
    The three first days of April and the three last days of March are said to be the coldest days of the year. They
