    are called the "Riaboy" days.
    On the first of April also it is the custom to make fools of people such as "look at the dog behind you" when there is no dog at all. THe person who plays the trick then says "April fool." This day is always looked forward to especially by yong folk.
    On May Eve bunches of primroses are picked, tied on sticks in the thatch or tied on slates of houses. THey are left up to the second of May. This is an unluck month in which to Marry.
    If the wind blows northerly on May morning it will be a good year. If the wind blows southerly it will be wet.
