  1. Most of the old trades are now killed. It would not pay the people to buy these things made by the tradesmen when they can get them cheaper in the shops.
    All hand-made work is much better than factory work.
    Some of the trades now dead that flourished here are as follows: nail making, weaving, boot making, and many others. The lat of our weavers is Mike Keefe who is
