Tanning. There was a Tannery long ago where the Munster and Leinster Bank is now and it produced as good leather as was made then.

Long ago people did all their weaving and other things at home. During the past few years, these trades have died down altogether in Skibbereen.
Baskets Basket making was a popular trade long ago but now it has nearly died down.
Distilling. It is said that where Mr Roycroft's Mill is now was situated a distillery.
