    Long ago people did all their weaving and other things at home. During the past few years, these trades have died down altogether in Skibbereen.
    Baskets Basket making was a popular trade long ago but now it has nearly died down.
    Distilling. It is said that where Mr Roycroft's Mill is now was situated a distillery.
    It is also said that a brewery was in North street
