- The following poem attributed to Seán Ó Coileáin was supplied by Pádraig Ó Mathúna Rang II. In verse V he refers to Leaca Riabhach which unfortunately is much denuded of its trees now. In a part of the wood which has not been destroyed is a little bower called "Leabhaidh an Fhile." Here, Seán Máighistir, as he is known locally, composed many of his poems and he had a lovely setting for his poem "An Buachaill Bán." "Maidin laoi ghil fé duille chrainn glais srl."

And join in my sweet vocal lays,

As sweet Castletownshend Demesne.

The peach, quince, the plum and the cherry,
The apple and nectarine pear.
Oh! were I the great Julius Caesar,(continues on next page)- Collector
