He saw a number of soldiers using a ram to burst in the door. He took aim and fired, the shot striking one of the soldiers and wounding him severely.
He looked back into the room and saw it full of soldiers who had entered by a back door which had not been locked. He had not time to re-load when he was grabbed by the soldiers, his gun and ammunition taken and he himself carried away a prison-er.
