  2. How to cure warts- A favourite method was to steal a bit of bacon fat and rub it over the wart then nail it on the wall where the sun could warm it. When the bacon fat had melted from the rind the warts were supposed to disappear. The magic lay in the vanishing fat, and that took the wart with it.
