    was another game played at wakes long ago. One man would stand on the middle of the floor and six men would stand around him. He would put a hand on one eye and some one would hold a candle fornint the other eye and keep on slapping him on the hands until he would know who was slapping him.

    Long ago people used to get married at wakes and it was against the rules of the Church so the custom died out.
    Long ago the priest used to come to the houses and Christen the children.
