- There is a ditch in Friars Park and it is said that the priests used to say Mass there in the Penal Times.
The priest used to say Mass below in a field of Maypothers in Kilteevan on the top of the hill. They used to say it unknownst to the soldiers or they would kill them if they caught them. Often they used to go from house to house looking for the priests. Christ was seen on this hill. - As Peter sat on a marble stone
Christ came passing by.
"What ails thee Peter"?
"Oh' Lord my tooth doth sorely ache.
"Arise, Peter, and behold".
He who says this prayer three times a day three times a night will never have a toothache- Informant
