- (continued from previous page)lamb bleating down about the stream. So he wandered that way and he found the box. He removed the lid and to his great surprise he found a beautiful baby boy. He brought it home. His wife was delighted and she said to her husband "It was God sent it to us in our old age." So the child grew up and the man and wife were very proud of it. Again the King's wife was going to be confined and the sisters prepared themselves and put a young dog in the baby's place and told the King his wife was confined of a young dog. He went crazy and said "If it happened again he would put her to death".
This time it was a big baby girl and they put the baby into a box and put it on the stream the same as before and wrote the same words on the lid.
"Whoever thou art that does this Infant find
Take it home and to the same be kind
It might you to fortune bring
It is the Daughter of a Royal King".
Again the herd found the Box with the baby girl and he brought it home to his wife so the girl grew up to be a grand girl She would go out every day and play(continues on next page)
