    bobbins are put. A bobbin is a handful of straw bent in the middle and tied near the end. Then the bobbins are out in on a scolb and put at the end of the stroke of thatch. When the thatcher comes to the last stroke at the end of the house he has to put the ladder back on the new thatch the last stroke lefthanded.
