The Bishops, Priests, and Clergy men had to hide in the valleys and lonely places and if they were caught they would have to leave the country. They used to have to say Mass on the hillside and on the rocks In this village there is a hole in the ground which is lined with stones and there it is believed priests used to hide. There is a place called Chapeltown. It is called that because the priests used to say Mass there
